For this week, I’d like your responses to include three components:
First, discuss your current relationship to theatre: Have you seen any plays or other live performances? What do you know about theater and what are you hoping to gain through this coure?
Secondly, reflect on the reading material and how it relates to your current relationship with theater. Does it challenge your preconceived notions of theater? How is Ancient Greek theater both similar and different from how we experience theater today?
Finally, write three open ended questions about the role of theatre in society. (An open-ended question is one that does not have a simple “yes” or “no” response.)
