These codes hol;d professional to uphold right conduct, fair treatment of clients and it protrects the clients best interest like confidentality and respect towards any and all clients no matter their cultural background, race, religion, anmd economic status. In fact, they even have three different type models that assist professionals in the decision making process which are;

    As for the limitations in regard to the ethical codes, professionals must behave and act in a professional and appropriate manner and it enforce certain rules and regulations that Professional Associations hold professionals to. In other words professional have limits on what they can do and can not do that help protect trhye clients and the professionals and they also include consequences if these3 rukles and regulations are broken by the professionals.

2)Code of Ethics is like a moral compass for helping professionals. It acts as a set of guidelines in helping chose the right behavior to build trust and integrity. The benefits of the Code of Ethics is it helps keep professionals accountable. It also helps professionals minimize harm because their action might impact their client. The Code of Ethics also helps to safegaurd confidentiality.

The limitations of the Code of Ethics are they are not enforceable rules, and that the American Psychological Association’s (APA) ethics code (2010) is ” quite clear that is neither provides all the answers nor specifically addresses every dilemma that may confront a practitioner.”  Some codes lack clarity and precision, which makes assement of an eithical dilemma unclear. Just because someone learns the ethic code and practice guidelines will not make the practice ethical, ethic codes tend to be reactive instead of proactive, meaning they happen after a situation that should have been avoided happens instead of doing something before that situation. Other limitations are a pratitioners personal values may conflict with a specific professional value or standard code within an ethics code, ethic codes may not be understood from within a cultural framework, meaning they need to be changed in order to adapt to certain cultures. Some issues just can not be solved by depending on the ethics code.
