construct a working outline
- Please select an informative speech topic for your upcoming informative presentation, which will be four minutes in length. Your informative speech topic will be on one of the following:
- an object (e.g., an artwork, a 3-D printer, etc.)
- a place (e.g., Iceland, The Brooklyn Bridge, etc.)
- an event (e.g., Juneteenth, The Special Olympics, etc.)
- a person or organism ( e.g., Maya Angelou, Jerry West, Candida Albicans, etc.)
- Be sure that the topic you select deals with matters of substance, is appropriate to your level of expertise, audience members as well as the occasion. Please revisit Module Three for assistance on topic selection, informative speeches, and constructing a working outline.
- In a new document (such as Word or Google Documents), develop a working outline for the informative speech topic that you selected; you will need to include the following:
