You represent the nursing department on a newly formed interdisciplinary team to look at medication errors and medication safety. You are one of seven team members. The Pharmacy Director, also a team member, has a very assertive communication style. The Pharmacy Director dominates meeting conversations and does not appear open to adopting new processes requiring the pharmacy department to take on additional work and responsibility. Instead, the Pharmacy Director redirects the ideas back to you and states, “This is a nursing responsibility.”
