Students will conduct informal observational & text-based research on the following:
- What does this Urban setting look like? Describe the physical setting.
b. What kinds of services are available? For example—Shops, internet, copy services:
c. Describe what you hear. You may include snippets of conversation. Be sure to translate patois if this is the language used.
d. What do the buildings look like?
e. Find a school in the area, walk around and describe the setting.
f. How do you feel?
g. Reflect on the similarities and differences you note between the school you are observing and the school you attended at this level.
h. Reflect on the similarities and differences you not between the school and surrounding environs you have observed and the school where you either teach or your children/relatives attend.
i. Transcribe, condense, and post your notes on Canvas. 1 page.
