New Company Analysis
Create a new company analysis. The first step in analyzing your company requires a stated mission and vision statement, market research to identify potential customers, and an internal and external environmental scan.
- Using the product or service from the Discussion Board this week, determine a name for your company.
- Create the company’s mission and vision.
- Analyze your potential internal and external environment through an environmental scan using secondary data.
- Examine the most recent annual reports of at least 2 competitors, and summarize their operations for use in the environmental scan.
- Illustrate your new company’s forecasted revenue and expenses for the next 3 years.
- Discuss the social complexity of your product.
- Create a survey (primary data). To do so, draft a 1-page sample survey. The survey should focus on whether the company has the right target market for its products. Your survey must include the following elements:
- Closed questions regarding the perceived market opportunity (e.g., is it worth the while?)
- Open or closed questions on how to design a product to ensure its appeal to your target market (e.g., what should it do or look like to make it work?)
- At least 3 qualitative and 3 quantitative questions
Deliverable Requirements: Your 5-page new company analysis must be in APA formatting and include two outside sources.
Submitting your assignment in APA format means that you will need the following at a minimum:
- Title page: Remember the running head. The title should be in all capitals.
- Length: There should be at least 5 pages.
- Body: This begins on the page following the title and must be double-spaced (be careful not to triple- or quadruple-space between paragraphs). The typeface should be 12-point Times New Roman or 12-point Courier in regular black type. Do not use color, bold type, or italics, except as required for APA-level headings and references. The deliverable length of the body of your paper for this assignment is 5 pages. In-body academic citations to support your decisions and analysis are required. Utilizing a variety of academic sources is encouraged.
- Reference page: References that align with your in-body academic sources are listed on the final page of your paper. The references must be in APA format and use appropriate spacing, hanging indents, italics, and uppercase and lowercase for the type of resource used. Remember that the Reference page is not a bibliography but a further listing of the abbreviated in-body citations used in the paper. Every referenced item must have a corresponding in-body citation.
